Study in Sweden
Every master’s taught in English, no limit on working hours, and a year to stay after graduation — in the country that gave the world Spotify, IKEA and the Nobel Prize.
Sweden teaches almost every international master’s in English, lets students work without any hourly cap, and grades on flat hierarchies where first names are the norm.
Universities like KTH, Lund, Uppsala and Chalmers sit in the global top 150 and work hand in glove with Ericsson, Volvo, Spotify and Klarna. Tuition exists for non-EU students but a national scholarship system — the Swedish Institute and university awards — covers a large share. After graduation you get 12 months to find work, and the path to permanent residence is one of Europe’s clearest.

Questions students ask
Can I work while I study in Sweden?
Yes, with no hourly limit — a Swedish student residence permit lets you work as much as your studies allow. Many students do their master’s thesis inside a company.
Do I need to speak Swedish?
No — international master’s programs are taught in English and Swedes speak it fluently. Learning Swedish (free SFI classes) helps when you look for full-time work.
How does the national application work?
You apply to up to four programs in one ranked application on universityadmissions.se by 15 January for the autumn intake. Scholarship applications go directly to universities in the same window.
Can I stay in Sweden after graduating?
Yes — graduates can apply for a 12-month residence permit to look for work or start a business. Once employed you switch to a work permit, and permanent residence is possible after four years.
